Process Heat Integration Studies

Process heat integration studies help in significant energy consumption reduction in industrial processes. Generally, it is not strictly in the scope of energy audits, as this is a specialised subject, called Pinch Analysis, requiring special micro-study of the processes.

Pinch analysis is a systematic procedure for minimising energy consumption of heat transfer processes by calculating thermodynamically feasible energy targets (or minimum energy consumption) and achieving them by optimising heat recovery and transfer between various systems, optimising energy supply methods and process operating conditions. Pinch analysis pin points the location of heating/cooling recovery system and the potential benefits.
